At Cain Hibbard & Myers, you will find a team of accomplished lawyers with the capability and experience to provide an array of legal services.  Our team includes leading practitioners in their respective fields, including real estate and environmental law, commercial and general civil litigation, health law, employment law, intellectual property, technology & internet law, domestic relations, business & banking, and nonprofit law.

The year 2014 marked Cain Hibbard’s 50 year anniversary as one of the most diversified and respected law firms in Western Massachusetts. With a lineage extending back to the mid-1800s, we continue a legacy of excellence set by three prominent figures in Berkshire County history: Lincoln Cain, Stephen Hibbard and Frederick Myers.  Our firm has been the home to many of Berkshire County’s most distinguished lawyers, jurists, and business and community leaders. Our lawyers have won special recognition and awards, and many participate as faculty for continuing legal education programs in their respective fields of practice.

We begin by listening to clients. By understanding the challenges our clients face, we work with our clients to shape achievable goals, and to identify and implement effective strategies to reach those goals. We succeed when our clients do.  We measure our success by our client service.

Our commitment to service is not limited to the practice of law.  We are also active in the region’s business and civic community. Our philanthropy takes many forms. We regularly provide pro bono legal services, and many of our lawyers serve on the governing boards of both local and regional charities. We are active members of the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce and the Southern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce. We also support our community through direct giving, and our special philanthropic focus is education. We are continuing sponsors of educational programs offered by local cultural venues to Berkshire County’s school age children. We support a county-wide educational enrichment initiative that serves all 13 public school districts within the county. And we support the efforts of Berkshire United Way, Literacy Network of South Berkshire, Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, and other charities committed to narrowing educational opportunity gaps in Berkshire County.

Based in Pittsfield and Great Barrington, we serve all of Berkshire County.  We also have an active practice in New York, with many of our lawyers admitted to practice in both Massachusetts and New York.  Our clients include businesses with operations across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the United States, and abroad.
